About

My name is Molly Gordon and I am a student at California State University, Fullerton. I am a sociology major with a minor in criminal justice. Though I’m still figuring out details, I hope to work in the criminal justice field, specifically with juveniles.

This blog will focus on juvenile delinquency, specifically the socialization of peers and how the youth are impacted by the influence of others. When you bring young individuals together in forms such as education or extracurricular activities, you also bring together various households with different values, behaviors, and norms. Although these differences may bring about positive influences, it is also very likely that it will bring about negative influences, contributing to their participation in delinquent and sometimes eventual, criminal behaviors.
